The Melbourne Mustangs will host the New Zealand men’s national team in a two game exhibition series at the O’Brien Group Arena on 24 and 28 March. The games will be held as a warmup for New Zealand who host the 2017 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division II Group B tournament in Auckland from 4 to 10 April. New Zealand last visited Australia in April 2015 where they played a three-game series against the Perth Thunder, losing one game to two.
