The Australian men’s national inline hockey team have lost to Latvia 2-6 in their second game of the 2017 IIHF Inline World Championship Division I tournament. Defenceman Cameron Todd was named best Australian player of the match. In other games of the day Argentina defeated New Zealand 6-4, Great Britain beat Brazil 4-2 and Slovenia beat Hungary 8-1. At the end of the second round Australia sit in second place on the Group D standings, three points behind the leaders Latvia. Australia takes on Great Britain today in their third game of the tournament. The last time these two teams met was at the semifinals of the 2015 IIHF Inline World Championship Division I tournament where Australia won 7-4.
