The Australian men’s national under-20 team have lost 4-7 to Israel in their third game of the 2018 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division III tournament. Forward Jake Ruck was named best Australian player of the match. In other games of the day Iceland defeated New Zealand 13-3 and China beat Bulgaria 10-4. After three rounds Australia have dropped down to third place in the standings, trailing the leaders Israel by four points. Australia takes on Bulgaria today in their fourth game of the tournament. The last time these two teams met was at the 2010 Division III World Championship tournament where Australia won 11-1.
