The Perth Inferno have been confirmed as the fifth team in the Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League. The Inferno will join the league for the 2018-19 season and are the first expansion team to join the league since its formation in 2006.
During the 2017-18 season the Inferno played two exhibition games against the Sydney Sirens, losing 4-8 and 1-8.
