2020 U18 Women’s World Championships: Australia finish third

The Australian women’s national under-18 team have lost 3–4 to Chinese Taipei in their final game of the 2020 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women’s World Championship Division II Group A tournament. As a result, Australia finishes the tournament in third, improving on their fourth-place finish in 2019. Forward Phoebe Roberts was named best Australian player of the match. In the other game of the day the Netherlands defeated Kazakhstan 4–1. Chinese Taipei’s win over Australia means they finish the tournament at the top of the standings and are promoted to Division I Group B for 2021. Kazakhstan finishes in last place and is relegated to Division II Group B.
