AIHL Brisbane Inc. have launched their bid to join the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) for the 2022 season. Queensland hasn’t had a representative in the AIHL since the Blue Tongues left the league following the 2012 season. The Blue Tongues played eight seasons in the league and were based in Brisbane from 2005 to 2007 and the Gold Coast from 2008 to 2012.
