The Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) have announced a series of contests dubbed Super Series as a replacement for the cancelled 2021 season. The contests are expected to begin in May and will be region based. The CBR Brave, Newcastle Northstars, Sydney Bears and Sydney Ice Dogs will compete against each other in one series, while in another the Melbourne Ice and Melbourne Mustangs will take on each other in a series of derbies. The Adelaide Adrenaline and Perth Thunder have yet to finalise their plans for 2021 with an announcement expected later in the year.
