After sitting out the last round on a bye the Canberra Pirates have returned to action with a double header against the Sydney Bears in Canberra. In the back-to-back games the Pirates lost the first game 0-4 and lost the second 0-5. At the end of Round 5 of the 2021 Ice Hockey NSW Women’s League season the Pirates remain at the bottom of the standings and are now eleven points behind the Bears who lead the league on twelve points. The Pirates return to action on 8 May when they travel to Penrith to take on the Ice Zoo Wolves.
