The Brisbane Lightning have released their roster for the 2022 season. Damian Bright moves across to the team after nine seasons with the Melbourne Mustangs while Thomas Kiliwnik joins the team after spending the 2019 season with the Newcastle Northstars. Five players on the roster, Lachlan Clifford, Will Clifford, Julian Fodor, Steve Harris and Arum Rapchuk, have also been named as part of the Brisbane Rampage for the 2022 Pacific Hockey League season. It is not known yet if they will be playing for both teams or forced to pick a side once the season gets underway. Also of note is Matthew Johnson who appears to be the only player on the roster who played with Queensland’s former AIHL club, the Gold Coast Blue Tongues.
