Brisbane Lightning forward Sacha Rapchuk has signed with the San Diego Sabers of the United States Premier Hockey League for their upcoming 2022-23 Premier division season. Rapchuk has spent the 2022 season with the Lightning where he has, at the time of writing, scored three goals and five assists from thirteen games. Two other Australians, Tyler Kubara and Cameron Todd, have played for the Sabers under their old name of the San Diego Gulls, both during the 2014-15 season.
