Plans for a new ice arena in Elizabeth, South Australia have some movement after being shelved back in March 2019. This follows the announcement that the City of Playford has accepted an offer by Pelligra Group to purchase and develop two sites in Elizabeth. The ice rink will be part of the sports entertainment venue that is planned for the Main North Road and Philip Highway site.

  1. I really hope this ends up getting up. Even if the rink ends up smaller than originally planned. Having a top notch ice rink in the Adelaide area will be great and the best chance at getting the Adrenaline back on the ice.

Though if they looking at bringing this to life now, it will be 1 to 2 years before it becomes a reality depending on how far along design is and how many approvals still need to be sought.

    • It is good that they now have the land locked in, really makes the plan more viable. It will be good to see the Adrenaline have a venue to eventually come back to

    • Even better for South Australia. I might put together a quick post about the Marion lease now. Thanks for the link
