The City of Marion have announced that they are currently negotiating a 42-year lease with Ice Rinks Adelaide and Pelligra Group who plan to build an ice arena in Marion. The site for the potential future ice arena will be located on 262A Sturt Road. Initial plans for the ice arena were announced in May 2022 and is expected to include a single international size ice sheet, a 350-450 spectator capacity, and rock climbing facilities.
