The Polyflor Raptors have defeated the Sydney Bombers 3–2 in Game 1 of the 2022 East Coast Super League Finals at the Hunter Ice Skating Stadium. Both teams had qualified for the Finals last week after winning their semifinal series. The Raptors advanced to the Finals with a series win over the Newcastle Northstars and the Bombers won their semifinal series over the Reach Rebels. Competition resumes today for Game 2 of the best-of-three series.
