Former Perth Thunder forward Dale Harrop has passed away aged 33 following an accident in West Auckland. Harrop played in fourteen regular season games and one playoff match for the Thunder during the 2016 season. More notable Harrop played fifteen seasons in the New Zealand Ice Hockey League, nine with the Canterbury Red Devils and six with the West Auckland Admirals. He was also a member of the New Zealand national team competing in ten World Championships between 2008 and 2019.
