Ice Hockey Victoria have released the roster for the Victorian state team which will compete at the 2023 Jim Brown National Championship in November. Compared to Victoria’s 2022 roster, it includes four returning players and 13 new signings, while 18 players have been released.
The new players include Samuel Bartlett, Luke Buchanan, Charlie Davis-Tope (from Queensland), Thomas Forrest, Adam Harper, Matt Hochmann, Chris Lawrence, Oliver Parkinson, David Shumborski, and Hamish Young. Phil Bakatsoulas and Julian Luco both return to the team for first time since 2017, and Dylan Morris returns after last competing in 2019.
The players released are Stephen Belic, Mackenzie Caruana, Lachlan Cincotta, Justin Dixon, Andrew Fitzgerald, Chris Ford, Michael James, Evan Khroustalev, Jacob Laver, Alex May, Jackson McCoy, Brendan McDowell, Michael McDowell, Matt Nikitin, Tim Nikitin, Lee Turner, Josh Walt, and Sebastian Woodlands.
