The East Coast Super League have named Newcastle Northstars’ goaltender Matthew Montgomery their Most Valuable Player for the 2023 season. Montgomery competed in 19 games during the season, finishing with a save percentage of 0.906 and a 1.65 goals against average. In total he faced 339 shots on goal, saving 307 and recorded three shutouts.
