The New South Wales Government have finalised the funding deed which will release the $17.7 million grant for the Canterbury Olympic Ice Rink repairs and upgrades. Funding for the rink was announced back in February 2023 following a successful application from the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program, formally known as the WestInvest Program. Work on the repairs and upgrades are expected to begin in late-2024 and will include a new ice floor and barrier system, new change rooms, a new roof structure, and upgraded spectator seating areas.
