2024 Winter Youth Olympics’ Women’s 3-on-3 tournament: Australia defeats Mexico and loses to Hungary

The Australia women’s national youth 3-on-3 team have defeated Mexico 5–4 and lost to Hungary 1–22 on Day 3 of the 2024 Winter Youth Olympics’ Women’s 3-on-3 ice hockey tournament. In the other six games played China and South Korea record two wins with South Korea’s second win being the first shootout win of the tournament. Hungary picked up another win in their second game and Italy recorded a win and a shootout loss. At the end of the third day Australia has moved up to fifth on the standings while Hungary continues to lead the tournament with fifteen points. Competition resumes tomorrow with Australia taking on China and Turkey for the final day of the preliminary round.
