The Brisbane Lightning have announced the signing of Canadian defenceman Mitchell Dyck for the 2024 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Dyck spent the 2023–24 season playing for the Winkler Royals in the South Eastern Manitoba Hockey League where he recorded four goals and eight assists from 23 games. Prior to joining the Winkler Royals, Dyck had spent four seasons in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League with the Winkler Flyers and five seasons playing in the U Sports system with the University of Manitoba.
