The Perth Thunder have announced the signing of French forward Benjamin Berard for the 2024 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Berard spent 2023–24 playing for Diables Rouges de Briançon in the Ligue Magnus where he recorded six goals and twelve assists from 41 games.
In addition to having played the last seven seasons in the Ligue Magnus Berard has also spent time in the FFHG’s Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3 leagues. He is also a former representative of the French men’s national under-18 and under-20 teams having competed at two IIHF U18 World Championships and two IIHF U20 World Championships.
