The Adelaide Adrenaline have announced the signing of Ukrainian defenceman Alexander Voronin for the remainder of the 2024 Australian Ice Hockey League season. His signing will fall under this season’s new import rule which allows teams an additional import slot to sign a Ukrainian national. Voronin spent 2023–24 playing for HC Aosta in the Italian Hockey League Division 1 where he recorded eight goals and eleven assists from 22 games.
Between 2016 and 2024 he has spent time playing in the HockeyTvåan, Italian Hockey League Division 1, Lithuania Hockey League, Optibet Hockey League, Polska Hokej Liga, Ukrainian Hockey League, and Ukrainian Hockey Super League. He is also a representative of the Ukrainian national team having most recently competed at the 2023 World Championships.
