The Ice Skating Club of NSW Co-operative has secured a 21-year lease for the Canterbury Olympic Ice Rink following their applications approval at the Canterbury-Bankstown Council’s meeting in July. The approval follows the finalisation of a funding deed in December 2023 which will release a $17.7 million grant for repairs and upgrades to the rink. Work on the rink, which has been closed since August 2022, is expected to begin in late-2024.

Update (17 August 2024): Works on the rink are now expected to begin in early-2025 and run through to early-2026.
