Continuing our look at the Australian players who were competing overseas during the 2023–24 season. Today is Part 8 of 9 featuring Australians in the United States.

Phoebe Roberts (Arcadia University profile): First season in the United States after spending the last three in Canada. Playing for Arcadia University in the NCAA’s Division III, Roberts recorded five goals and nine assists from 24 games.

Timothy Rye (ACHA profile): Fifth season with Maryville University. Playing in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA), Rye split his time between Maryville’s Division 2 and Division 3 teams. With the Division 2 team, Rye competed in two games, and with the Division 3 team he played two games and recorded a goal.

Nikki Sharp (Nazareth University profile): First season with Nazareth University after spending 2022–23 with Bishop Kearney Selects. Playing in the NCAA’s Division III, Sharp recorded nine goals and six assists from 26 games.

Benjamin Shearer (UT1HL statistics): First season in the United States after spending the last two in Canada. Playing for North Shore Academy’s 15U AAA team in the United Tier 1 Hockey League’s (UT1HL) 15U division, Shearer competed in nine games, recording three goals and five assists. With North Shore, he also competed in 44 games of 15U AAA independent competition, recording 32 points, and one game in the Beast Series.

Matus Trnka (USPHL profile): First season in the United States. Playing for the Ontario Jr. Reign in the United States Premier Hockey League’s (USPHL) Premier division, Trnka recorded a save percentage of 0.912 and a goals against average of 2.52 in 16 regular season games. During the playoffs, he competed in one game, posting a 0.895 save percentage and a 4.09 goals against average.
