Three referees and one officiating coach named in the IIHF’s 2024–25 season

The International Ice Hockey Association (IIHF) has assigned three Australian referees and one officiating coach for the upcoming 2024–25 international season. They join the five Australian linepersons whose appointments were announced earlier in the week.

Casper Russelhuber will travel to Istanbul, Turkey in January to officiate the 2025 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division III Group A tournament. David Gal will officiate the 2025 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship Division III Group A tournament which is being held in Mexico City, Mexico in March. In April, Davida Paul will travel to Dunedin, New Zealand to officiate the 2025 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship Division II Group B tournament.

Lastly, Kent Unwin will serve as the officiating coach at the 2025 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship Division III Group B tournament, which starts in February in Bangkok, Thailand, and the 2025 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division II Group B, which starts in April in Dunedin, New Zealand.
