Brisbane Lightning has announced the signing of goaltender Jakob Doornbos for the upcoming 2025 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Doornbos spent 2024 playing for the Sydney Ice Dogs, where he recorded a 0.864 save percentage and a 4.57 goals against average from twelve games. Since making his league debut in 2018, he has competed in 56 AIHL games and averages a save percentage of 0.872.
