Ice hockey returns to Tasmania with a stick and puck session at MyState Bank Arena’s Shiver Ice Rink on 24 June. The sport has been on hold in the state since its the Glenorchy Ice Skating Rink closed in May 2022.
The Shiver Ice Rink is a temporary ice sheet installed within MyState Bank Arena between 16 June and 27 July 2025 and measures 30m by 15m. Ice Hockey Tasmania, who organised the session along with Ice Sports Tasmania and MyState Bank Arena, are aiming to secure additional sessions before the venue closes in July.
