Brisbane Lightning have added American forward Nico Hemming to their roster for the remainder of the 2025 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Hemming spent 2024–25 playing for EC Eisbären Balingen in the Baden-Württemberg Liga where he scored ten goals and ten assists from ten games. He also made a brief one game appearance for the Denver Ducks in the Mountain Hockey League where he scored a goal.
Between 2015 and 2025, Hemming has spent time playing in the American Collegiate Hockey Association, Baden-Württemberg Liga, Eastern Hockey League, Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League, Federal Prospects Hockey League, Kootenay International Junior Hockey League, Mountain Hockey League, Rocky Mountain Junior Hockey League, Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, United States Premier Hockey League’s Premier Division, and Western States Hockey League.
