The Central Coast Rhinos have announced the signing of Japanese forward Kanta Hashimoto for the 2026 Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) season. Hashimoto spent 2025–26 playing for the Tohoku Free Blades in the Asia League where he scored two goals and five assists from 43 games. He also made further three appearances for Tohoku in the All Japan Ice hockey Championship, recording two points.
Between 2021 and 2026, Hashimoto has spent time playing in the All Japan Ice Hockey Championship, All Japan Inter College Championship, and the Asia League. He is also a member of the Japanese national team having competed at the IIHF Asia Championship Series in 2025 and 2026.
