With the 2025–26 season having finished in the Northern Hemisphere we thought we would take a brief look at the Australian players who were competing overseas. Today is Part 2 of 11 featuring Australians in Canada. The information is collected from Elite Prospects and so might not be fully comprehensive.
Alvin Chan (JPHL profile): First season in Canada. Playing for Island HC in the Junior Prospect Hockey League’s 17U AAA Division, Chan competed in six games, recording one goal and four assists.
Anson Chan (JPHL profile): First season in Canada. Playing for Island HC in the Junior Prospect Hockey League’s 17U AAA Division, Chan recorded a goal and two assists from five games.
Jasmine Chen (Gamesheet profile): Second season in Canada and first with BioSteel Sports Academy. Playing on their U22 team in U22 AA competition, Chen recorded five goals and 23 assists from 53 games. She also made five appearance for the team in the National Girls Hockey League’s 19U Division. Heading into 2026–27, Chen has re-signed with BioSteel Sports Academy for a second season.
Emma Clarke (Gamesheet profile): First season with CFHA Storm after spending 2024–25 with the CFHA Phantoms Storm. Playing in the New Brunswick Female AAA Hockey League’s U15 Division, Clarke recorded a 0.942 save percentage and a 2.22 goals against average from 20 games. Heading into 2026–27, she has signed with King’s-Edgehill School to play for their Highlanders Girls U18 team.
Mitchell Collins (JPHL profile): Second season in Canada and first with Victoria Hockey Academy. Playing in the Junior Prospect Hockey League’s 18U AAA Division, Collins recorded three goals and seven assists from 24 games.
