With the 2025–26 season having finished in the Northern Hemisphere we thought we would take a brief look at the Australian players who were competing overseas. Today is Part 7 of 11 featuring Australians in Canada. The information is collected from Elite Prospects and so might not be fully comprehensive.
Julian Lau (GLPHLV profile, GLPHLP profile, MPHL profile): Third season with the Académie Ste-Cécile Stallions. Playing in the Great Lake Prep Hockey League, Lau played nine games in the Varsity Division, recording four goals and five assists, and 13 games in the Prep Division, recording a goal and three assists. He also made 15 appearances for the Varsity team in the Canadian High School Hockey system, recording seven goals and eight assists, and played six games for the Prep team in the Midwest Prep Hockey League, recording two goals and one assist.
Alyssa Lim (OHA profile): First season in Canada. Playing for the Ontario Hockey Academy’s (OHA) Jr Varsity team, Lim competed in 56 games of U16 competition, including five games in the National Girls Hockey League’s 16U Division, and recorded five assists. She also made five appearances for the OHA’s Prep team in U18 AA competition.
Brody Lindal (PJHL profile): First season in the Pacific Junior Hockey League after spending 2024–25 in the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League. Playing for the Richmond Sockeyes, Lindal competed in 59 games, recording 31 goals and 53 assists. Heading into 2026–27, he has signed with Simon Fraser University to play in the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League.
Bodhi Matthew (EOJHL profile, CCHL profile): First season with the Casselman Vikings after spending 2024–25 with BioSteel Sports Academy. Playing in the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League, Matthew recorded one goal and eleven assists from 26 games. He also four appearances for the Hawkesbury Hawks in the Central Canada Hockey League.
Johanna Meissner (Purcell roster): First season with Purcell Hockey Academy after spending the last two with the Ontario Hockey Academy. Playing for Purcell’s 19U team, Meissner competed in 30 games of 19U AAA competition, recording nine goals and ten assists.
