Adelaide Adrenaline forward Steve Best has announced that he will be retiring from the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) at the end of the 2026 season. Making his debut in 2010, Best has competed in eleven seasons for Adelaide and at the time of writing as recorded 29 goals and 48 assists from 223 games. He will play his final two games in the league this weekend with Adelaide hosting Perth Thunder at Ice Arena Adelaide.
