Round 24 of the 2026 East Coast Super League (ECSL) regular season has finished with the Newcastle Northstars and Reach Rebels played out a five-all draw. The other regular season game set for today between the Polyflor Raptors and Sydney Bombers was cancelled by the league, with the ice time being used to hold the first game of the semifinal series between the same two teams. The league cited an inability to source suitable ice time as the reason for the decision. No points were awarded for the cancelled game. The regular season concludes with the Sydney Bombers claiming the regular season title after finishing at the top of the standings, two points ahead of the second-placed Newcastle Northstars.
Competition now moves onto the playoffs with the semifinals being held from 5 October to 11 October. In the first semifinal series, the first-placed Sydney Bombers will take on the fourth-placed Polyflor Raptors with their games set for 5 October and 11 October with both games at Erina Ice Arena. In the second semifinal series, the second-placed Newcastle Northstars take on the third-placed Sydney Heat on 10 October and 11 October with their games being held at Hunter Ice Skating Stadium and Erina Ice Arena.
