Australians overseas 2023–24: United States (part 5)

Continuing our look at the Australian players who were competing overseas during the 2023–24 season. Today is Part 5 of 9 featuring Australians in the United States.

Reece Lukowiak (USPHL profile): Third season with Fort Wayne Spacemen. Playing in the United States Premier Hockey League’s (USPHL) Premier division, Lukowiak recorded six goals and twelve assists from 51 games.

Skyler Luo (USPHL profile): First season playing in the USPHL’s Premier division after spending 2022–23 in the East Hockey League Premier. Starting the season off with the Richmond Generals, Luo competed in 20 games, recording eleven goals and two assists. He then moved across to the Battle Creek Kernels to finish the season where he recorded eight goals and seven assists from 22 games.

Maxim Lyashenko (USPHL profile): Second season with the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Knights. Playing in the USPHL’s Premier division, Lyashenko recorded eight goals and 15 assists from 48 games.

Noah Maley (USPHL profile): First season in the United States. Playing for the Ontario Jr. Reign in the USPHL’s Premier division, Maley competed in nine games, recording two goals and an assist.

Dexton Mozell (Neumann University profile): Third season with Neumann University. Playing in the NCAA’s Division III, Mozell recorded a goal and an assist from seven games. He was also named in the 2023–24 United Collegiate Hockey Conference Men’s All-Academic Team, an honour which recognises student-athletes who achieve a grade point average of 3.20 or above.
