Brisbane Lightning’s Nicholas Novysedlak retires

The Brisbane Lightning have announced the retirement of goaltender Nicholas Novysedlak from the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL). Novysedlak competed in four games during the 2024 season where he recorded a save percentage of 0.854 and a 4.50 goals against average.

Making his league debut in 2010, Novysedlak spent time playing for the Brisbane Lightning, Gold Coast Blue Tongues, Melbourne Ice, Melbourne Mustangs, and Sydney Ice Dogs. In total, he competed in 34 AIHL games, averaging a 0.867 save percentage and a goals against average of 5.26.
