Australians overseas: Ethan Hawes

Defenceman Ethan Hawes recently completed his first season with the Northern Cyclones, playing in both the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) and the United States Premier Hockey League 18U (USPHL 18U) division. His 2019-20 season was primarily spent playing for the Cyclones’ under-18 team in the USPHL 18U where he recorded 14 points from 21 games. For the Cyclones’ NCDC team he had a brief two game stint and recorded one point.

Prior to joining the Cyclones Hawes had spent the past two seasons with the Everett Jr. Silvertips under-16 team playing in the North American Prospects Hockey League 16U division. Hawes is a representative of the Australian under-18 team, first appearing at the 2018 World Championships. He had also been named on the roster for the 2020 U18 World Championships prior to its cancellation.
