Knights looking to raise $50,000

The Canberra Knights have announced that they are required to raise $100,000 by 20:00 AEST 3 March 2014 to be readmitted to the league. $50,000 is expected to come from season memberships while the other $50,000 is being sought by a public fundraiser via the Mycause.com.au website.

The league has also set the requirements of the team being able to field a competitive team and have a rink in which to train and play their games. Team officials are currently in talks with the former owner who is also the owner of their home rink, the Phillip Ice Skating Centre. Talks are also in place with the ACT government in regards to retaining the funding of $29,000.
