The State finals have finished with the Perth Pelicans and Melbourne Glaciers advancing to next weeks 2015 AJIHL finals. The Pelicans defeated top of the ladder Sharks 6-4 to advance to the finals while the Glaciers beat the Whalers 5-2. The New South Wales final was held last week with the Sydney Wolf Pack claiming their spot in the finals with a 3-0 win over the Sabres. As the highest placed qualifier from the regular season the Glaciers advance straight to the grand final on 1 March while the Pelicans and Wolf Pack will playoff in the preliminary final for their chance in the grand final.
Edit: Appears that the predictions we made on who was versing who in the finals were incorrect. The Pelicans advance straight to the grand final while the Wolf Pack take on the Glaciers in the preliminary final. This is due to the AJIHL basing the rankings for the playoffs on interstate games, rather then the entire regular season standings. See below for the interstate standings.
