2015 Kurt Defris National Championship

The 2015 Kurt Defris National Championship was completed yesterday with New South Wales defeating Western Australia in the gold medal game. The Kurt Defris is open to players 15 and under and is held between the State Associations. This years tournament consisted of teams from New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia. All games were held at the Xtreme Ice Arena in Malaga, Western Australia and the tournament ran from 8 July to 11 July. New South Wales Jeremy Vasquez top scored for the tournament with 16 points and James Downie finished as the top goaltender with a save percentage of 0.959.
