The Australian men’s national under-18 team have won their second game of the 2016 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship Division III Group A tournament, defeating Chinese Taipei 6–3. Forward Liam Manwarring was named best Australian player of the match. In other games of the day Turkey defeated Israel 4–1 and Bulgaria beat Mexico 4–2. After the end of the second round Australia have moved to the top of the standings, one point clear of second placed Turkey. The teams have a rest day today and return to the ice on Thursday with Australia taking on Israel.
