Round 12 of the 2016 Australian Ice Hockey League has finished with wins for the Sydney Bears, Newcastle North Stars, CBR Brave and Melbourne Ice. The Ice remain on top of the standings, ten points clear of the second placed North Stars, and become the first team to qualify for the playoffs. Next week seven teams are in action across five games, while the North Stars sit the round out on a bye.

The round also marked the 250th game for Josh Harding of the Adelaide Adrenaline. He becomes the ninth player to reach the milestone.
