Round 3 of the 2017 Australian Ice Hockey League season has finished with wins for the Sydney Ice Dogs, Melbourne Ice, Sydney Bears, Adelaide Adrenaline and Newcastle Northstars. The game between the Melbourne Ice and Sydney Bears had to be cancelled after the first period due to a fire in the speaker system at the Macquarie Ice Rink. The Melbourne Ice move into first place on the standings, edging out the Brave on win percentage. The league is currently looking to reschedule the game for a future date. Next week all eight teams are in action across seven games.
