Pirates claim three points in Northstars Women double header

The Canberra Pirates have won and tied their two 2017 NSW Women’s League games against the Newcastle Northstars Women at the Phillip Ice Skating Centre. The team claimed their first win in the league in game one, defeating the Northstars 3-1. In their second match both teams were held to a nil all draw.

The Pirates return to Australian Women’s Tier 2 Show Case Series competition in July for Series 2 of the East Division. While their next games in the Women’s League are against the Blacktown Flyers Women on 25 June at the Phillip Ice Skating Centre.
