Melbourne Ice men’s and women’s team to play mixed exhibition game in October

The Melbourne Ice men’s and women’s team will compete in a mixed intraclub exhibition game, dubbed the Ice Breaker Classic, on 31 October 2026 at O’Brien Icehouse. The match will serve as a fundraiser for the women’s team and the 300 Blankets charity, as well as a preseason warmup for the women’s team ahead of the upcoming 2026–27 Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League (AWIHL) season. The Ice Breaker Classic was first held in 2025 with Team Navy defeating Team White 9–4.
