Pirates claim three points in Canterbury double header

The Canberra Pirates have won and tied their two 2017 NSW Women’s League games against the Canterbury Eagles Women at the Phillip Ice Skating Centre. The team drew the first game 3-3 and won the second 3-2, claiming their first win against Canterbury.

The Pirates return to Australian Women’s Tier 2 Show Case Series competition on 22 July for Series 2 of the East Division. While their next games in the Women’s League are against the Canterbury Eagles Women and Blacktown Flyers Women on 16 July at the Canterbury Olympic Ice Rink and Penrith Ice Palace respectively.
