Round 14 of the 2017 Australian Ice Hockey League season has finished with wins for the Perth Thunder, Melbourne Ice, CBR Brave, Melbourne Mustangs and Newcastle Northstars. The Ice remain on top of the standings, eight points clear of the second placed Thunder. The Ice are also the first team to qualify for the 2017 Goodall Cup playoffs after their second win of the weekend. Next week seven teams are in action across six games while the Mustangs sit the round out on a bye.
The round also saw the Melbourne Ice hold a Swedish themed day on 30 July. The Swedish theme included the Ice wearing a blue and gold coloured variant of their jersey.
