The Australian Women’s national under-18 team have lost 1-2 in overtime to China in their final game of the 2018 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women’s World Championship Division I Group B tournament. Defenceman Lara Azzopardi was named best Australian player of the game and forward Emily Davis-Tope was named best Australian player of the tournament. In other games of the day Denmark defeated France 2-0 and Poland beat Great Britain 2-0. Australia finishes the tournament in last place and are relegated to Division I Group B Qualification for 2019, while Denmark finish in first place and are promoted to Division I Group A.
