
The Australian Women’s national under-18 team have lost 1–2 in overtime to China in their final game of the 2018 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women’s World Championship Division I Group B tournament. Defenceman Lara Azzopardi was named best Australian player of the game and forward Emily Davis-Tope was named best Australian player of the tournament. In other games of the day Denmark defeated France 2–0 and Poland beat Great Britain 2–0. Australia finishes the tournament in last place and are relegated to Division I Group B Qualification for 2019, while Denmark finish in first place and are promoted to Division I Group A.
