Australia withdraws from the 2022 Women’s World Championships

Ice Hockey Australia (IHA) have announced that they are withdrawing from the 2022 IIHF Women’s World Championship Division II Group B tournament due to the ongoing travel restrictions. Australia is the second team to withdraw after New Zealand withdrew in December. The tournament, set to be held in Croatia at the start of March, will now proceed with four teams. The decision for the women’s team follows the withdrawal of both the men’s under-20 team and the women’s under-18 team from their respective World Championships.
