The Brisbane Blitz have announced the 2022 Brisbane Blitz Invitational Tournament which will run from 5 to 20 February at Iceworld Boondall. The tournament will involve the four teams, the Blitz, Brisbane Bears, Brisbane Dragons and Puckers Ice Hockey, competing in a single round-robin tournament followed by a bronze medal match and a gold medal match. The tournament is being run by the Blitz as a replacement for the cancelled 2021–22 Australian Junior Ice Hockey League season.
