Pacific Hockey League announces teams

The Pacific Hockey League (PHL) have announced the five teams that will be competing in their competition. Four of the teams, the Adelaide Avalanche, Brisbane Rampage, Melbourne Ducks and The Coast Ice Hockey Club will join the league in 2022 while the New Zealand-based Queenstown Rush is slated to join in 2023.

Plans for a sixth team based out of Canberra seems to have been abandoned. Rumours that this team was going to be the CBR Brave were quashed by the club’s recent statement that they were staying in the Australian Ice Hockey League.
