CBR Brave announce eight player signings

The CBR Brave have announced eight player signings ahead of the 2022 AIHL season. Both Alastair Punler and Jamie Woodman have also been announced as part of the Adelaide Avalanche roster for 2022 with the Avalanche claiming that Woodman is currently on loan to the Brave.

Wehebe Darge: First joined the Brave in 2017 after seven seasons with the Adelaide Adrenaline. Played 231 AIHL games and recorded 365 points. Represented the Australian men’s national team at seven World Championships between 2010 and 2019.

Nicholas Doornbos: First joined the Brave in 2019. During his debut season he played twelve games and recorded three points.

Joey Hughes: First joined the Brave in 2018 after nine seasons with the Melbourne Ice and two with the Melbourne Mustangs. Played in 244 AIHL games and recorded 411 points. Represented the Australian men’s national team at seven World Championships between 2004 and 2012.

Lynden Lodge: Most recently played for the Perth Thunder during the 2019 season. Played in 87 AIHL games and recorded 16 points. Represented the Australian men’s under-20 and under-18 national teams at the World U20 Championships and World U18 Championships between 2015 and 2017.

Matt Marasco: Most recently played for the Canberra Blades in the 2021 Ice Hockey ACT Senior B season. In the last three seasons with the Blades he has recorded 70 points from 32 games.

Alastair Punler: Most recently played for the Perth Thunder during the 2019 season. Played 114 AIHL games and recorded 21 points. Represented the Australian men’s under-20 and under-18 national teams at the World U20 Championships and World U18 Championships between 2013 and 2016.

Jamie Woodman: Most recently played for the Perth Thunder during the 2019 season. Played 156 AIHL games and recorded 54 points. Represented the Australian men’s national team at three World Championships between 2017 and 2019

Charlie York: Debuted for the Brave during the 2021 McCormack Cup. Spent last season playing with the Canberra Rebels in the 2021 Ice Hockey ACT Senior B season where he scored 11 points from 15 games.
